About the artist:
Since earning her BFA in painting from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 1999, Amy Casey has shown her work regionally and nationally. She enjoyed a fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center, was artist in residence at Zygote Press in Cleveland in 2006 and in 2007 received an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award. Most recently, she was awarded with the 2009 Cleveland Arts Prize as an emerging artist and a grant through CPAC's Creative Workforce Fellowship program, made possible through the generous funding of Cuyahoga County residents through Cuyahoga Arts and Culture. Casey is represented by Zg Gallery in Chicago and Michael Rosenthal Gallery in San Francisco. Currently she lives and paints in Cleveland.
